SALT PEPPER GARLIC POWDER SAZON SEASONING
LIVER
FLOUR
VEG OIL
3 TBLS CORN STARCH MIXED WITH A VERY LITTLE WATER TO MAKE SLURRY
SOY SAUCE
BEEF BROTH JUST ENOUGH TO COVER THE LIVER
SWEET VADILA ONIONS SLICED
SLICED GREEN BELL PEPPER
TOMATOES OPTIONAL
STEP BY STEP

  3. Love liver and onions. Caramelized onions tho.
    I don’t fry much but, when I do I use avocado oil. Smoke point is 500 F so I’ve read. But if I fry chicken legs like deep fry it’s soo very rare I use canola oil.

  11. My mother used to make liver and onions when I was a kid. I don't make it because my kids won't eat it and my body seems to reject it. I've never seen anyone add tomatoes. Looks amazing Gina as always.

  14. I take my flour with salt and pepper in paper bag or gallon plastic bag and put liver in and shake it up. Works perfect.

  22. I know a lot of people don't like liver and so good for you very high in iron and protien will eat but has too be beef liver!! I cook lots of onions and tomatoes on top serve with mash potatoes and mixed veggies

  29. The seasoning on the liver looks amazing! I used to cringe at the word liver, but my 93 year old great grandma taught me how to make liver and onions over rice and it's one of my favorite dishes now! Down here in Louisiana it's done a little different, the liver is never dredged and the oil, onions, and "gris-gris" or fond as you call it is all we use to make the gravy. Might try bell peppers one day, but this was a very interesting take on liver and onions. Thanks for sharing……always love your videos. You should definitely incorporate plating it up and taking a bite so we see tenderness and how you appreciate your own food! God bless

  31. Smothered liver and onions with gravy Gina Young style looks delicious. The tomatoes and green peppers kicks it up a notch ?!!! Not to mention the rice. Yes!!!! Love it !!! I have calcium and iron deficiency and have to take a infusion once a year. This liver I have always had no problem implementing it into my diet. ? Chef Gina keep on stirring up the gifts!!! ??
